Learn how to properly clean you yoga mat today!

 

Our yoga mats with regular use, it gets covered in, if you’re doing it right, plenty of sweat. So after 2 weeks of LIVE workout challenges, I want to share here, a few ways to bathe our mats.

Most of us just roll it up after workout and peace out ✌🏼 , but you’re should know that its recommend clean your mat at least once a week, but if you practice regularly, or sweat a lot, think about a quick wipe down after every session. It’s good hygiene, and helps prolong your mat’s life 👍🏼

-a great way to naturally disinfect and restore the rubber’s texture and color of your mat is to spritz both sides with a vinegar-and-water solution (50/50 mix), take a damp wrung-out sponge, then give it a good wipe before letting your mat hang dry.

-if you’re busy, you may buy yoga mat wipes (water-based, organic, all-purpose cleanser).

-Yes you can toss your mat in your machine wash, but DON'T use soap and DON'T let your mat sunbathe (hanging your mat in the sun can really dry out), so it’s better to use a drier in this case.
